Our Story

Mustard Scrubs was founded by Travis and Ashlyn Simon from their home in Lafayette, Louisiana. 

Our journey with this company began in 2019. We were paying top dollar for scrub uniforms that were subpar in our opinion. As a staff nurse at the time Ashlyn did not like the fabric, the fit, or the pocket location. They were uncomfortable and didn’t have everything that she needed. When talking to her coworkers at her staff job she realized she wasn’t the only one. We came up with a plan to design our own scrubs that not only look good but feel good as well. We began the long process of research and development that took nearly 5 years. Ashlyn started travel nursing across the US and realized her coworkers felt the exact same way about their scrubs. We decided to take all the opinions from every medical professional and integrate them into our designs. Mustard Scrubs are high quality scrubs designed by working medical professionals. 

Why the name Mustard Scrubs? The mustard seed is a very small seed that grows into a large tree. Mathew 17:20 says “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to the mountain, move here to there, and it shall move.” As medical professionals, many times we experience people who are at their worst and in some of their lowest times. Often we feel like the task at hand is a mountain that we cannot undertake. We also feel like we are having a very small impact when caring for patients but in reality we are making a huge impact. We chose the name Mustard Scrubs because we believe we can conquer the largest and most difficult tasks and we never give up!
